The Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology has tenured/tenure-track professorship positions available for persons with excellent records of research and education in the following areas.

(1) Surface engineering (including but not limited to corrosion, electrochemistry and coating technology)

(2) Materials development (including but not limited to physical metallurgy, phase transformation, microstructure control)

(3) Computational materials/processing engineering (including but not limited to computation based materials development, materials processing simulation)

(4) Materials performance (including but not limited to fracture, fatigue and other issues related to materials performance)

(5) Application of AI to materials science & processing technology

(6) Eco-friendly processing (including but not limited to environmental metallurgy, secondary resource utilization, recycling of end-of-life products)

The Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology (GIFT) is a unique academic initiative of the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). The Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology addresses the need of the global materials industry for outstanding professionals specialized in materials technologies.
